Me

TL;DR version
Hi. I’m Marco and I write from Milan, Italy.

InRainbows version:

Classic version
Nothing more interesting than the TL;DR version:
Born in Alghero, Sardinia, at 18 I move to Pisa, Tuscany, to study Computer Engineering.
After the degree (2006) I start to work with Semantic Web and SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) matters at the Italian National Research Council, and in the meantime I started to study web design using a blog called “Central Scrutinizer” (opened in 2005) to take note of what I discovered every day. In one of the last about there was written:

…a double weblog in english and italian version where to speak, to discuss and to rumour about web design, web standards, blog and videoblog, semantic web and all about make the web useful, fascinating and fun. A spin-off section of this site is focused on javascript + php experiments.

In march of 2007 The Horizontal Way, one of the project born from this site, won as ‘Best CSS’ at the 10th SXSW Web Awards in Austin, Texas: 20 days later i leave Pisa for Milano to work for design and developing of important brands’ sites [MTV, LA7, Vodafone, Condè Nast, Hello Kitty, Honda and many others] adding in the meantime to my skills the motion graphics beauties.

By the way: this is my updated portfolio.

Speaking about music, instead – my passion since I was 11 – I studied in Milano at the SAE Institute for the Electronic Music Production course, started the production-dj-set project SE/EMM and wrote in magazine like Rolling Stone, Vitaminic , Ale’ Le Teknival and Contemporary Standard.

Moreover, this is my LinkedIn profile, these are some videos i made recently, these are my recent mixes and this is my Twitter profile.

So it’s ok, and bella lì.
